China Soular Disc Journey

Pilgrimage to the Heart of Asia
We journeyed to the area the mystic Nicholas Roerich called the Heart of Asia, in a pilgrimage of exploration, self-discovery and planetary service.
Our primary focus was western China and the Takla Makan/Tarim Basin region. The age-old Silk Routes wend their way along the Basin's northern and southern rims and the very soil here evokes many millennia of interwoven beliefs and cultures to explore. Recent discoveries in the desert, have unearthed the 3,000 plus year-old naturally mummified bodies of red haired people clad in tartan!
From time immemorial, this region has spawned riveting legends including those of Shambhala. Sacred to Hindus Buddhists and Moslems alike, is the basin of the Takla Makan desert, which is bounded on the south by the KunLun mountain range and on the north by the Tien Shen mountains. This basin forms a powerful planetary grail, resonant with the heart energy of Quan Yin, the Chinese goddess of compassion.
In the very heart of this grail, is an ancient Buddhist stupa at Rawak. Legend speaks of this stupa as the place of the coming manifestation of the Maitreya Buddha. This is also the location of one of the twelve Soular Discs, anchoring each of the twelve etheric aspects of the Christ Consciousness planetary grid with whose heart energy we connected at a deep level.
Our adventure continued in Xian where we explored the outer beauty and inner meaning of the Emperor Ch'in's famed terracotta army, Neolithic settlements and the nearby so-called Chinese Pyramids. We completed our journey in Beijing with the Forbidden City, the Great Wall of China and the Temple of Heaven.
Itinerary: Beijing (Forbidden City, Temple of Earth and Temple of Heaven), Urmqi in Xiankiang province of far western China, Heavenly Lake, Hotan, Rawak, Xian (Terracotta Army, Chinese Pyramids), Beijing.
