I never said it's easy.....

We are living in turbulent times, personally and collectively trying to avoid at worst a global breakdown and at best co-create a communal breakthrough.

What has become ever clearer though is we cannot return to the old status quo - whose fragmented and materialistic world-view has brought us to the edge of planetary catastrophe. In such challenging times, the easiest response would be to either sink into fear or recoil as far as possible into denial. Both are completely understandable and both take us down a dangerous and dead-ended path of despair.

If we only see the surface of the ocean it can appear stormy. But if we look beneath, we can appreciate the calm that prevails in its depths. If we only see the surface of our lives, we will experience the storms that threaten to engulf us. But if we can, in the midst of the apparent chaos see deeper and further to the bigger picture and purpose, we may perceive and play our active role in a collective Shift of consciousness that is gathering pace. And understand how the old paradigms, the limited and fragmented ways we have adhered to must go, for us to embrace and embody a new way of living in peace, justice and harmony with each other and the living Earth.

We are rapidly approaching the crux of 2012 and the revolutionary destiny that awaits us. Whether we succumb to a global breakdown or together co-create a collective breakthrough depends on the choices we make here and now. If our choices are from fear then we will continue to co-create the implications and consequences of that fear. But if our choices are made from love, we can wake up from our spiritual amnesia and re-member the wholeness of who we really are - and fulfil what I believe to be our cosmic destiny.

As a healer I work with people in the newly available energies of the universal heart of the 8th chakra to empower them to understand the deeper causes of their own traumas and how to heal them from this higher level of transpersonal awareness. And at my talks and workshops around the world and through my books, my aim is to ‘wake people up' to this greater and expanded understanding of themselves and the whole-world.

‘Waking up' to this realisation requires that we perceive ourselves, albeit at many levels of individual, collective and archetypal consciousness as the co-creators of our realities. Such perception is of a wholly integral Cosmos - the Oneness of an infinite cosmic mind exploring itself through the diversity of the many. And this vision of integral reality sees each of us, as the ancients would have described it, as droplets of the cosmic ocean.

What we co-create is up to us. We can remain enmeshed in beliefs that no longer serve us or the wider world, or we can work to release the limitations and traumas of our personal and collective experiences and birth the reality of Heaven on Mother Earth.

To do that, we must take responsibility for our choices and importantly, understand the subconscious and conscious beliefs and perceptions that cause us to make them. Our personal beliefs when based on fear - and unless and until they change - cause us to play out the same patterns of unhealthy behaviour that result in the similar ‘themes' and experiences of our individual lives. And our collective beliefs when based on fear, within communities at all scales of our holographic human family, embody the same patterns on larger scales. Such fear-based archetypal patterns of abandonment, abuse, betrayal, denial and rejection that have played out on individual and collective levels have blighted our human journey for millennia.

Throughout history, the perpetuations of tit-for-tat schisms and conflicts that arise from and play out such patterns have continued cycles of distrust and hatred generation after generation. Albert Einstein, not only a great scientist, but a passionate advocate for world peace, once said, "No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it." As the evolutionary tide of Shift carries us forward we are now becoming able to see with ever greater clarity how such old patterns of perception and behaviour have limited, separated and traumatised us.  And beginning to learn the wisdom of acknowledging them without judgement, releasing them- and so healing ourselves at the most profound level of our psyche.

In these transformational times, frontier research into consciousness is also revealing what the mystics of all times and places have known - that we are more - much more - not only than our physical bodies but even our human personas. At this crucial time, a new and integral vision of the Cosmos is also emerging. As Ervin Laszlo and I share in our new book CosMos, leading edge science is finally reconciling with frontier research into consciousness and universal wisdom to reveal the reality of a whole-world where everything we call reality is integrated and ultimately conscious.

We are beginning to see beneath the waves of the manifest physical world and perceive the vast ocean of consciousness from which it arises. With this expanding awareness we are beginning to understand the more profound meaning and purpose behind events and experiences - and how we can come together to co-create healing, peace and resolution - truly our collective re-soul-ution!

One of the most fundamental and enduring schisms of our collective experience has been that between the feminine and masculine aspects of our psyche. The ancient cultures of Egypt, Sumer, India and China honoured the concept of the sacred marriage and the balancing of these cosmic archetypes. They too realized that only through their authentic real-ationship could health and harmony on both metaphysical and physical levels be sustained.

The harmony of those earliest times though was not to last.

Whilst then small scale violence did exist, communities were generally peaceful and warfare was rare. The ancient myths describe the coming of war as beginning with disputes between brothers. Symbolically and literally the aggression unleashed by this schism of our collective bloodline, profoundly wounded the masculine psyche. A spiritual wounding, that millennia of brother fighting brother - eventually spreading to the entire global brotherhood of man - has progressively deepened.

Over the years, the voice and wisdom of the sacred feminine has been marginalised and gone unheeded in the clamour of ‘might is right.' Aggression has not just been expressed through war and untrammelled competition within our human family but ultimately between humanity and the Earth that has brought us to the edge of a global breakdown.

If we are to redeem ourselves and transform the potential breakdown into a transformational breakthrough, at the heart of our collective Shift of consciousness is the healing of the metaphysical wound in the masculine psyche of humanity and the restoration and consummation of the sacred marriage.

As we energize the healing of the wounded masculine we can then reconcile and restore the sacred marriage within ourselves.  And so our collective schism between each other and the Earth that on the physical surface may have appeared intransigent is also energized in support of its journey of healing, reconciliation and peace.

To do this, I suggest we begin by being willing to hear the inner voice of the wounded masculine within us all - both men and women. To acknowledge and understand within our own psyche and the events and experiences of our lives, what that wounding has meant for us. On both personal and collective level, instead of acknowledgment, justice and reconciliation, initial disputes have frequently led to tit-for-tat behaviour where a sense of grievance and an urge for vengeance has perpetuated and deepened into apparently intransigent schisms.

When we are able to understand at this higher level what disputes have occurred in our own lives, what choices have we made and where have those choices led. - we can begin to release their trauma and to heal. And on the basis of cosmic resonance, when we heal ourselves we support the healing of the whole.

Both in our own lives and throughout the world where conflicts still hold sway, re-soul-ution requires us to acknowledge that in every conflict ultimately the enemy is our self. That hatred - as some of the survivors of the Holocaust and many others have came to understand - injures the one hating more than the one hated. That forgiveness - as the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission discovered, is possible - without forgetting, colluding with or denying what has gone before. And that people can change.

Whilst we may perhaps have paid lip service to these principles if we are to really heal we need now to go beyond these limitations and truly embody and live their truths in our own lives and collectively support and work for such reconciliations.

With the perfection of cosmic timing that Spirit is renowned for - our most urgent need of re-soul-tion comes at the exact moment in the story of humanity when we are waking up to our spiritual empowerment

The elders of many spiritual traditions and mystics around the world understand the Shift as enabling us to awaken to - to re-member - our inner divinity. And ultimately to embody such ‘extraordinary' christed consciousness within our ‘ordinary' lives. At the heart of not only the teachings of Jesus but other great teachers who not only shared this awareness, but embodied it in their lives, is the golden rule - to treat others as we hope they would treat us. The expanded awareness energised in the Shift is empowering us not only with the understanding that the golden rule heals the world but with the courage to live it.

We are being offered enormous cosmic support to undertake this leap into love that is the Shift. And whilst its promise is of a new golden age and the fulfilment of our cosmic destiny - I never said it's easy!
