Dear friend,
at the time of the solstices in June and December, the Sun rises at the farthest points in his yearly arc through the sky. For three days around 21st June and 21st December, he appears to stand still - hence the Latin word sol-stice - dawning at the same point on the horizon, before re-commencing his path.
In these turbulent times, not only at this time but on an ongoing basis, I feel offering ourselves regular opportunities to ‘stand-still' for a while, gives us the chance to go within and so hear more easily our higher guidance and the ability to see and trust the bigger - and meaningful - picture of what is unfolding.
Imagine
As our collective Shift of consciousness accelerates, for me and for many of the people I meet around the world, one of the most wonderful signs of the Shift is that we are experiencing an increasing number of synchronicities in our lives.
The Swiss psychologist Carl Jung who coined the term synchronicity described them as being occurrences in the physical world that happen at or around the same time as we're thinking or discussing them. He discovered that such synchronicities enabled him to gain deep insights about consciousness and expanded his understanding of what we call reality.
Mainstream science is completely unable to explain such meaningful events and dismisses synchronicities - free of the apparent limitations of space and time - as mere coincidences. Indeed, the current mainstream view is that the universe is random and purposeless. But this limited understanding is about to radically change. But the revolutionary new vision of the universe that Ervin Laszlo and I write about in our book CosMos is revealing it to be fundamentally inter-connected and meaningful. This empowering understanding of the whole-world is also discovering our abilities as co-creators to be aware and influence our realities beyond the limitations of space and time.
Not only does this emerging vision offer a scientific basis for such so-called psi-effects as telepathy and remote viewing but a context for synchronicities. And as the Shift speeds up and we our individual and collective awareness continues to expand, our cultural conditioning is falling away, the veils between the multidimensional realms of the Cosmos are dissipating and we are encountering such phenomena and other-world communications.
As the mystics of all spiritual traditions have done, we are beginning to walk between worlds. But what is crucial, is that as we do so, we ground all that we are through our human experience
Jung found, as I and many others have, that rather than dismissing synchronicities as mere coincidence but instead considering them as a way that Spirit and our own spiritual selves communicates with the physical world, we can appreciate and welcome them into our lives.
One recurring synchronicity that moves me deeply and continues to show up in my life, began when I was leading a group journey to Egypt. Planned for many months before, our trip had brought us on 9th October 2007 to Giza and a special access visit to the Great Pyramid. That morning, I'd turned on the TV in my husband's and my room to hear the news. At that precise moment, the newsreader told us that this day was John Lennon's birthday and the words of his great song Imagine immediately flowed into my mind, my heart surging with its simple wisdom. With just enough time before we were due to meet the group and journey on to the Pyramid I logged onto the hotel's computer and downloaded a copy of the words - literally running with them onto the bus.
Later as we all gathered in the Kings Chamber of that mighty monument, in tribute to John and the many other peacemakers who have, and continue, to work for healing and reconciliation we sang Imagine together, the acoustics of the chamber swelling our voices into inspiration.
A few weeks later, as I packed my bag ready to fly to Vermont to speak at a sacred landscape conference, where I was to be the final speaker of the weekend, I had a strong feeling to take the words of Imagine with me. And when I was met at the airport by the conference organizer, I asked whether it would OK if I invited everyone to join me after my talk to complete the conference in singing the song.
She just said; ‘of course, we always sing Imagine at the end of our conferences'!
Some time later, I was speaking at the Prophets Conference on orbs and mentioned the synchronicity of Imagine. Without my knowing, as I completed my talk, the person in charge of the stage, projected a picture of John Lennon and the words of Imagine onto the screen behind me. As we then all sang the song together, the love in the room was palpable - as were the orbs.
I told the update a little while later to a class I was teaching, and also a story about a white rose related to a group healing pilgrimage to Israel in 2006. One of my class suddenly delved into her bag and brought out a flyer for a play she was in - called Imagine This. And the flyer depicted a white rose.
And most recently, on the first morning of our sacred journey to Malta a few weeks ago, getting into the car of our local guide, as she turned on the radio, you can guess what song was playing!
Our expanding understanding of the integral nature of all that we call reality is showing that meaningful coincidences are real! Becoming more aware of the significance of such synchronicities in our lives, they can be sign posts helping us on our spiritual path and the keys to deeper insights about ourselves and the nature of reality.
To experience synchronicities for ourselves, and learn from them, we first need to believe in their possibility. The old saying that ‘seeing is believing' should really be, ‘believing is seeing.' What we can imagine we can manifest. And that's why the ongoing story of my Imagine synchronicity has such a powerful resonance for me, with the words of the song guiding us to appreciate that what we can imagine, we can co-create.

So when you're thinking of a friend you haven't heard from for months and they suddenly call. Or, when a series of events magically come together; take a closer look at the synchronicity. It may just be that your spiritual self is showing you how to go beyond your perceived limitations and play with reality. Or it may have a deeper meaning that is trying to tell you something........

Soular Astrology
From the December solstice of 2003, the Sun and earth have been aligned with the center of our Galaxy, or GC. As we journey together towards 2012, at each December solstice the Sun is between the Earth and the GC and at the June solstice, the Earth lies between the GC and the Sun.
Directly on and anchoring these alignments from opposite sides of the sky are the two constellations of Ophiuchus (conjunct the GC) and Orion.
The ancient Egyptians associated Orion with Osiris the ‘god' or divine masculine whose life, death and resurrection correlated with the yearly visibility of the constellation re-emerging after 70 days of ‘death' into view at the time of the Egyptian New Year in late July - and which preceded the annual Nile inundation.
The area above the head of Orion is known as the ‘silver gate', the cosmic gate of ascension and whose position is the equivalent of the 10th chakra (above our heads) of our 12 into 13 unity energy field.
Exactly opposite Orion in the sky is the constellation of Ophiuchus - designated as a man holding two serpents. The constellation is also associated with Asclepius the Greek god of healing who in legend healed Orion after he was bitten by a scorpion.
The area below the heel of Ophiuchus correlates with the GC and is known as the golden gate. Its position is also equivalent to the 9th chakra (beneath our feet, and that connects human and planetary consciousness).
The association of Ophiuchus with healing also links the constellation with Isis and the divine feminine embodying another aspect of their cosmic mirror with Orion equivalent to Osiris and the divine masculine.
The cosmic twins of these two constellations intersect the ecliptic and so could be considered as the thirteenth and fourteenth zodiac signs and mirror each other in the sky. At the June solstice, the Sun conjuncts the silver gate of Orion, and at the December solstice, the golden gate of Ophiuchus. - and both are now in a direct alignment with the GC.
At the December solstice - the birth date of the archetypal soular hero, the Sun conjoins the galactic golden gate of Ophiuchus - revealing that it is the reintegration of the divine feminine and its grounding that is the key to our re-soulution and our collective Shift of consciousness.
And so at each June and December solstice, as we head towards 2012, higher consciousness pulses from the GC through the alignment of Sun and Earth and energizing our collective psyche to undertake the evolutionary leap of awareness that is the Shift.
And at the March and September equinoxes Orion and Ophiuchus complete a cosmic ‘cross' and respectively rise directly east and as seen from the Sphinx and from the golden gate of Jerusalem over the Mount of Olives.
Synchronistically at 3.30am on the morning of 19th October 2006 four of us began the walk from the Mount of Olives to the golden gate of Jerusalem (as I've written about in my book The 13th Step). Unbeknownst to us, at this exact time, in the sky, Orion and the silver gate of the 10th chakra was directly above us and Ophiuchus and the golden gate of the 9th chakra directly beneath - enabling these cosmic energies of to holographically resonate and ground through us as we began the process of re-soulution of the divine feminine and masculine within the ancient holy of holies of the Jerusalem temple.
Over the next few months an ongoing series of conjunctions in Aquarius are occurring between the expansive presence of Jupiter, the influence of Chiron the cosmic healer and of Neptune energizing the transcendence of our personal sense of self.
From now until December, their combined influence will offer us a progressive and increasing view and understanding of a greater reality and the co-creativity of our future visions. And their continuing influence into early 2010 will support our personal and collective manifestation and embodiment of that understanding. We will be able to see ever more clearer what is spiritually universal and nurturing and conversely the beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve our highest purpose and how to heal and release them.

Veg out!
As I sit in my study writing to you, outside the window, I can see the vegetables that Tony and I are growing. Over the last few years we've been raising more and more varieties. And this year with two new and large raised beds, have a greater abundance than ever before. I love our veg! Planting, watering and weeding is wonderfully grounding - and of course the fruits of our labor are delicious. And I'm delighted that both here in the UK and in the US ever more people are growing their own produce, including the Queen of England and the President and First Lady of the US! I'm enormously encouraged to experience how easy and abundant this can be, even on a small scale. And crucially, to realise how deeply such a simple way can re-connect us with our beloved Mother Earth.
Tony and I have now been on a beekeeping course too. Our hives are ready and our bees ready to move in. With the problems of colony collapse disorder spreading, we hope in a small way to be able to help the bees and are very fortunate that our local beekeeping association is at the forefront of trying to understand what has been happening and how to resolve it. So, by the time of my next newsletter I hope to report that our bees are happy and settling in - and hopefully making lots of honey.
