Dear Friend,
At this time of the September Equinox,
Summer is coming to an end and Autumn is approaching. Our small orchard is
overflowing with apples and pears and I'm so grateful for the bounty of their
harvest.
This tumultuous year of transition is at
an energetic and symbolic balance point when our choices are even more
highlighted in terms of their implications and the consequences that flow from
them.
There is a lot of fear-based behavior
still playing out within our collective psyche. But the events of this year and
the way people have responded to them whether the earthquake and tsunami in
Japan, the Arab Spring, the killings in Norway or the tenth anniversary of 9/11
are showing us how to respond with love and compassion rather than fear.

Paradigm Shift Article
In regard of the 3rd March
events in Japan I wrote the following article about the breakdown of the
Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, called SUNFLOWERS for Paradigm Shift Magazine
for their September issue:
Having journeyed to nearly seventy
countries around the world as a cosmologist, healer and business leader, I've come to understand how everything we call reality is essentially consciousness
exploring itself holographically at all scales of existence. Over many years
I've explored the deeper meaning and higher purpose behind the appearance and
unfolding of events; whether it be the spiritual support we receive from other
realms, the astrological influences of our Soular System, the energetic
connections between people and places and the way in which our beliefs,
thoughts and emotions co-create our realities on personal and collective
levels.
As the potential Shift of consciousness
that's been prophesied for 2012 accelerates, all these aspects and influences
are coming into ever clearer and more powerful manifestation and in my view,
however challenging are aimed at helping us collectively to positively transform
our awareness of ourselves and the world.
One recent event that I feel holds
powerful significance and potentially transformational consequences is the
earthquake of 11th March this year in Japan. I was there on the 10th
floor of an apartment building in Tokyo that shook terrifyingly for several
very long minutes. Whilst the effects of the quake and the tsunami that
followed were devastating it was a third resulting calamity that may have even
greater impact.
After surviving the initial quake, the
force of the tsunami overwhelmed the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant and
caused a Level 7 emergency - the same as Chernobyl. Although the scale of
radioactive release was much less than the Ukrainian disaster, it sent shock
waves around the globe resulting in a fundamental reassessment by many
countries of their use of nuclear power.
Significantly, Japan is the only country
to have experienced the full horror of nuclear weapons; its cities Hiroshima
and Nagasaki being bombed in World War II. With a lack of energy resources
though and despite that trauma, Japan chose to construct a series of nuclear
power plants from the 1970s, amongst the first of which was the Fukushima
complex.
Over the last three years, during my
visits to Japan I've researched and attuned with the ancient Jomon people, the
ancestors of the modern Japanese who for an astonishing fourteen thousand years
or so, lived in harmony with themselves and their land. And it may be that they
are the descendants of the even more ancient Lemurian civilization. During
these three years I've also experienced three intense elemental initiations into what I feel are the Lemurian
roots of the Japanese psyche and which align with a Lemurian past life that
I've written about in my book The 13th Step.
I've come to perceive that the modern Japanese have entered a collective soul contract to bring forward the ancient Lemurian essence of living in harmony with Gaia and that the ancestral spirits are
actively coming forward to support this healing work, not only for the Japanese
people but for our collective psyche.
To understand that on a ‘bigger picture'
level, let's take a look at our relationship with nuclear power and how such
Lemurian healing can take place.

At dawn on 16th July 1945 the
mushroom cloud of a huge explosion lit for miles around the desolate desert of Jordano del Muerte, the Route of Death,
in south-western USA.
J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist
who'd led the project to develop the world's first atomic bomb had called the
test site ‘Trinity.' Named most likely from a poem by Elizabethan John Donne
that goes; "Batter my heart, three person'd God" the site was a tragically apt
memorial to a poetry loving friend who'd committed suicide a few months before.
As the Atomic Age was bombed into birth,
Oppenheimer, when asked how he had felt at that moment, replied with a line
from the Ancient Indian epic the Bhagavad Gita that states; "I am become death,
the destroyer of worlds." And indeed, on behalf of our collective
consciousness, I believe he had.
For some 13.7 billion years from the
beginning of our universe, evolutionary processes throughout the life cycles of
stars, eventually led to the creation of the heaviest of natural elements.
Their inherent instability results in a progressive and essentially harmless
radio-active decay. Nowhere in Nature
do they split in the destructive schism that was unleashed that day in the
desert.
Oppenheimer's naming of the site of this
catastrophic trauma Trinity, reflected Donne's ‘three-person'd God,' the
fundamental trinity of principles and aspects that pervades the Cosmos at all
scales. That day it was the atomic trio of protons, electrons and neutrons that
instead of co-creating life were forced by humanity into an explosive
destruction.
At the core of the cataclysmic power
that would then be soon unleashed over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and
Nagasaki, was the nuclear fission of uranium, neptunium and plutonium - named
respectively after the three outer planets of our Soular System. Each element
resonating with its planetary namesake, archetypally embodies our relationships
respectively with revolutionary awakening, the nature of reality and the death
and re-birth cycles of transformation.
Uranium is the heaviest relatively
abundant and stable element found in Nature. Whilst minute traces of neptunium
and plutonium are naturally present on Earth, both are deemed to be effectively
man-made; synthesized for the first time in June and December 1940
respectively.
The discovery of the element plutonium
can be accurately placed and timed to 8.00pm 14 December 1940 at the University
of California at Berkeley, whose natal chart was originally drawn up by
astrologer Nick Kollerstrom. Pluto's location on the Ascendant and conjunct
with plutonium's north node reveals that the discovery was enormously
intentional and represents both the elemental and planetary purpose to serve
the transformation of our collective future. The chart's line up of the Sun
with the Galactic Centre opposite the Moon at Full and with the Earth centrally
located between - dramatically displays the cosmic alignment that in the years
leading up to the December solstice of 2012 has become ever more intensely
focused as a harbinger of our cosmic destiny.
The schism caused by our choice to
originally unleash atomic power for war, co-created the path that has led us to
become the first human generation capable of destroying our world - and thus of
potentially being the last.
After World War II the development of
other than uranium-neptunium-plutonium nuclear-based technologies for
ostensibly peaceful use weren't seriously pursued primarily because they failed
to provide weapons-grade fissile material which could be used to manufacture
further bombs.
Virtually all commentators agree that
renewable energy technologies are very many years away from being able to
provide for the world's energy needs.
Whilst Fukushima has sounded an enormously important wake-up call to the
dangers of uranium-based nuclear energy, environmentalists such as George
Monbiot and the father of the Gaia hypothesis James Lovelock recognize that
unless the world continues to burn environmentally disastrous oil, gas or coal,
at least for the mid-term nuclear energy is and will be crucial to enable the
‘lights to stay on.'

So is there an alternative?
Only a few weeks before the
catastrophe of Fukushima, the Chinese revealed that they are launching a
dramatically safer, cleaner and more abundantly resourced thorium-based rather
than uranium-based nuclear technology. Thorium's innate properties and its
associated nuclear plant design means that no reactor could run out of control,
explode or melt-down as in uranium-based nuclear facilities and there is also
enough naturally occurring thorium to last for thousands of years. Unlike
uranium, thorium is crucially, utterly unable to provide fuel for bombs. As UK
journalist Ambrose Evans-Pritchard puts it, thorium can even; "As a happy bonus ....burn up plutonium and
toxic waste from old reactors, reducing radio-toxicity and acting as an
eco-cleaner."
And since the escape of radioactivity into the farmland around the Fukushima plant,
another more natural and benevolent solution to the environmental pollution it
caused is being undertaken. Sunflowers can actually decontaminate such soils by
extracting radioactive cesium from them. And next year there is a plan to sow
vast fields of sunflowers there.
When Oppenheimer quoted the Bhagavad Gita at the first atomic bomb test he also
quoted it by describing the blast as ‘brighter than a thousand Suns.' The planting of many thousands of bright
golden sunflowers symbolically and energetically offers I believe a redemption
for our abuse of the power of the Sun and I hope the beginning of a new way
forward.

Plutonium was discovered on 14th
December 1940. On 14th December 2001 a solar eclipse occurring in
the constellation of the ‘galactic healer' Ophiuchus was deemed by mystics to
have re-awakened the Lemurian aspect of our collective psyche.
So are, as I believe, our Lemurian ancestors
coming forward through their Japanese descendants who have experienced the
abuse of nuclear power both in war and peace to hold a karmic mirror to our
collective misuse - and the potential for redemption, healing and
transformation?
Perhaps, if it evolves to the self-aware stage we've reached, every planetary society at
some point comes to an understanding of the universality of elements and the
enormous energy they embody. The so-called weak nuclear force is the
evolutionary driver of the universe enabling its birth, life and death cycles
from the process of nuclear fusion that powers stars to the natural radioactive
decay of the heavier elements. Comprehending its secrets offers us a deeper understanding of cosmic life or death.
Some seventy years ago, as we began to understand the power embedded within the atomic nucleus, we chose the route of death. We now need urgently need to change course and collectively choose a path for hope and for life. At
this vital moment of choice, I feel the Japanese people and our Lemurian
ancestors are offering us a profound gift for the potential healing of our
collective psyche for which I bow my head with a heart-felt Arigato - thank you.
Soular
Astrology
The powerful astrological themes that
have made 2011 a crucial year of transition continue to influence these last
few months.
With Uranus carrying on squaring Pluto
within a 5 degree orb, inequality and corruption become ever clearer and more
unacceptable and motivations to reform even more unrelenting. Between 2012 and
2015 there will be seven exact squares between these two planets, each one
continuing to ramp up the inescapable need for radical change to a more
sustainable, fair and honest world.
As Pluto continues his slow
transformative journey through Capricorn, Saturn the task master of our Soular
System (and the ruler of Capricorn) is in Libra, the sign of balance. His
influence is augmenting that of Pluto and calling us to get serious and step
forward to "be the change we wish to see in the world."
On 25th November we have the
last of the four (usually we only have two) solar eclipses of the year in
Sagittarius. With a challenging square with Mars and the day after Mercury has
gone retrograde, its chart suggests potentially violent (although not necessarily
physical) upheaval accompanied by difficulties in communication. It's
especially potent in the chart for the European Union which could portend an
event such as Greece defaulting on its debts or some such occurrence that could
trigger wider consequences.
On 10th December we have the last
lunar eclipse of 2011 in Gemini. Lunar eclipses are a time for our inner and
sometimes unconscious feelings, hopes and fears to become more apparent. This
eclipse energizes new ideas about ourselves and the world and coincident with
Uranus going direct in Aries, it emphasizes how we can revolutionize and
empower ourselves.
On 24th November, the day
before the solar eclipse Mercury goes retrograde and remains so until 14th
December. So his retrograde influence envelops both eclipses helping us to go
within to revise and reform our ideas in our search for higher truth and
especially how they apply to our hopes and goals. Then when he goes direct on
14th December our new or course-corrected ideas can be fired into
action.

Earth
Changes
Over the summer, there's been a lot of
concern on the internet about the approach to Earth of Comet Elenin and the
apparent threat of imminent and catastrophic Earth changes.
Most of this is my view is nonsense.
There's also been a lot of talk about
the Sun and the latest sunspot cycle which is due to peak in 2013 increasing
the risk of what's called CMEs - Coronal Mass Ejections, which send out
enormous energy bursts that if they point our way, could for example knock out satellite
communications and Earth based power grids.
This might well happen, although if
governments and businesses act appropriately there are ways to mitigate these
effects.
I can't guarantee that Earth changes
won't happen as we go through the Shift, for Gaia is going through Her own
transformation too.
What I believe we can and need to do is
to understand that She isn't ‘separate' from us but is a conscious being in her
own right and our co-evolutionary partner in this Shift. By seeing and fearing
the possibility of Earth changes as catastrophic, we only continue in the old
paradigm of duality. And as the Shift progresses, what we think and believe; fearful
or loving will be ever more clearly mirrored back to us.
The more we can understand this the more
we can transcend the illusion of separation not only with each other but with
Gaia and all Her children and indeed begin to appreciate that our entire Soular
System is evolving together in
consciousness.
When we're able to act on the basis of
this understanding with love and inclusion for all multi-dimensional life, the
more gracefully and joyously we can all undertake the incredible transformative
opportunity of this pivotal moment.
This September Equinox on 23rd
September, the twice yearly balance point between light and shadow offers a
wonderful opportunity to come into our own inner balance and then go beyond the
perception and judgment of duality to the unity awareness of All-That-Is.
This Equinox, I invite you first to
focus on attaining your inner balance by in-to-greating the divine masculine of
your mind and the divine feminine of your heart within the 8th
chakra of the universal heart and birth the divine child of your higher
purpose.
And then to envisage bringing the cosmic
trinity of the Sun, Moon and Earth within the universal heart, sensing in their
exquisite inter-realationship, the harmony and balance that they embody and of
which we are all an integral part.
